Blankety blank and a PB!
I managed five sessions this month, the first on a hot and humid afternoon on 6 August at Longford, a steady session slipping the landing net under two Carp around 2lb each on Red Robin boillies. I managed to loose several other fish due to sitting on the floor when I should really have stayed in my chair and not being quick enough to strike.
A cloudy day with some light rain and a few sunny spells on 13 August, fishing red maggots saw me catch my PB Carp just shy of 8lb, another Carp about 6lb and some nice Roach, Bream and Perch, this time at Birch House Fisheries. A short but pleasant evening session on 16 August at Mill Dam saw me land a few nice Rudd.
On 18 August I fished an afternoon session at Springwood which I have fished loads of times but on this occasion although everyone else was catching, I wasn’t and I didn’t manage to land anything! Still, it was a nice day!
Just to rub it in, my dry spell was still hovering over me ten days later at Mill Dam where I’ve never blanked before and you guessed it…I blanked!
