The cold, wet start to the year continues.

As the inclement weather continued this month, and I couldn't access the bank, I decided to stay in the warm, dry shed and work on a marquetry set I received for Christmas. It was more fiddly than I thought; however, I persevered, using all the patience I'd learnt on the bank, and after several evenings and a few weekends, I'd finished. For a first attempt, I'm quite pleased with the result, and it looks good framed on the kitchen wall!

Once again, my brother bought a job lot of rods at a local auction. The lot included two 12-foot float rods, which I'll keep for now and a 10 and 11-foot fly rod, which I'll sell.
