Some nice finds

Although it was the start of the season this month, unfortunately I didn't get the chance to wet a line. Even though my partner and I enjoyed a ten day holiday driving round Scotland and passing all that water! Maybe next time we go to Scotland I'll sneak a rod and some tackle in the car! On the way, I visited the House of Hardy Fishing Tackle Museum in Alnwick, which is very interesting and definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

I did however on our return, enjoy a day at a local vintage fair, where I discovered three bargains. A nice old Efgeeco tackle box, a Mitchell 300 and another French reel, a Brevete spinning reel, which I hadn't heard of before, but have since seen several for sale online. All were in excellent condition and just needed a good clean. I'm planning on using the Mitchell 300 for ledgering and Carp fishing and I've not decided if I'm keeping the Brevete yet, but I'm sure I'll give it a few runs.

Next month I'm planning a camping and fishing trip which I'm really looking forward to.
