Christmas has come early

Well, it's that time of year again piscators. When we look back, look forward, and overindulge. I think the older you get the faster time goes, and this year has gone very fast. It doesn't seem that long ago I was thinking about making plans for 2023. This wintery canal scene is a Christmas card from an old work friend and one of my favourites this year.

This time last year I was hoping to catch a 20lb Carp, which remains elusive, and I didn't get around to Carp fishing on the canal, so there are two items on my to-do list for 2024. I did upload 9 out of the 12 fishing videos I'd planned on YouTube, and I caught my first Pike and Eels this year while on holiday in Norfolk, which was an unplanned surprise. Moira Furnace was a new venue I'll go back to, and I'll be back fishing the Earl of Harrington A/C waters, the Trent & Mersey Canal, my regular local fisheries, and I plan to make more videos in the coming year.

Well Christmas came early for me this year, a job lot of reels and rods which I bought locally from a seller on Facebook. I'll keep a few of the reels and maybe one of the rods, and the rest will be sold. Anyway here's my final video of the year, looking back at some rods, reels, and tackle. Tight lines and all the best for 2024. I took the image of the reels and the image of the rods is from the Facebook advert.
