A job lot of rods
I took a punt on this job lot of rods, and once I'd gone through and mixed and matched the different sections, there were some complete rods, rods without top sections, and several top sections.
I put the complete rods together, paired up the rods without top sections, and sold them as individual lots. The top sections were also put together as a lot and sold. Several of the lots went to a few different buyers who restore old rods. I kept a few rods that didn't have any line rings to restore myself.
This is one of the rods I've started to restore. A 9' whole cane rod with some new green whipping on the handle section, and if I say it myself, I'm much better at whipping line guides than I was several years ago!
As you can see from this page in my fishing diary, I managed some fishing this month. A few days at a local campsite enjoying some late summer good weather...
Autumn is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to some Perch fishing.
